You can put most household and construction waste in a skip, including general rubbish, garden waste, wood, metal, rubble, bricks, soil, electrical items, tyres, and empty paint cans. Some items like tyres and electricals may incur additional charges. You cannot put hazardous waste, asbestos, batteries, gas cylinders, or liquids (including paint) in a skip. Our 16 yard Jumbo Skip is for light waste only — no heavy materials like rubble or concrete.

You only need a permit if the skip is placed on a public highway, pavement, or road. If the skip is on your own private property (e.g. your driveway), no permit is needed. We handle the council permit application for you — it costs approximately £40 and is added to your order automatically if required.
